Research

Melina’s research interests now lie in the effect of language learning history (e.g., mono- and multilingualism) on early language and memory development. In addition to studying theories of cognitive development, she studies their application to educational materials and settings. Ultimately, she hopes to apply her work to second language learning in the classroom. She is being advised by Dr. Haley Vlach.
